Kai, a 'computer guy' with an artistic and engineering background
from Germany, says he is more and more questioning the usage of
new technologies just because they are new. He thinks there is something
more valuable and that if it comes to photography the picture itself
and it's originality are essential. Therefore he says he loves to
operate his drum scanners, is avid user of Photoshop 4 for his own
artwork and right now working on toning procedures for Cyanotypes.
As a freelance writer for photo and computer magazines,
author and consultant I keep a certain curiosity for technique and
photography.
After developing a separation process and RIP software for printing
with special greyscale inksets he began to print with alternative
processes with digitally enhanced and point-to-point calibrated
inkjet-printed negatives.
